![]() The drain tiles are sloped properly, and usually dump water into either your septic system, the local sewer system, or a dry well. The drain tiles are PVC pipe; the perforation allows groundwater to seep in, and that groundwater then runs downhill, in the tile, to its destination. To encourage water to percolate into the the drain tile, the tile is surrounded by crushed gravel. Water percolates easily through the gravel to the pipe. |
